Comparing Imaginations of the Afterlife


This project aims to provide a clear comparison between the monsters of the European, Chinese, and Japanese imaginations of the afterlife. We wanted to further analyze Dante's nine circles of hell, the Diyu in China, and Yomi-no-kuni in Japan, trying to find parallels, points of interest and prevalent themes.
